Got to go a bit stronger now, but that probably only means a couple of changes.

Can see McClean and Marriott coming in or even Mullin.
Yeah, definitely see Marriott and Faal up front unless Mullin is past his injury then or could go either way with a strong bench of JRod, Smith, Fletcher.

I think it could be Longman and Barnett with the same midfield. It’s not like Longman has played a ton of minutes this season so I’m not as worried about him getting rested yet and it could be worth getting him some minutes on the left side as well. He’s definitely our top 3 wbs if not top 2 at this point and needs to get used to that left side as well if McClean needs to get replaced at some point.

My guess is Parky will go with the same back 3 although I would probably prefer sitting Max, but not sure who’d he go with there. Could put Evans there and James at CDM to get Evans some minutes there in case something happens to max at some point. But, that’d be a lot of changes which Parky doesn’t often do and is definitely more in mind of playing the game for the purpose of working things out for the league rather than best chance of winning, although, that’s still a pretty damn good side and allows a lot of the starters to get some more rest before what will be a rather brutal stretch of games, and yes, I’m hoping Parky goes with Dobson at cdm for at least a stretch here coming up.

Noticed Mold Road and Wrexham Lager stand are almost sold out. Will they be opening just a few sections of the Tech end closest to Bolton supporters ( for Wrexham supporters ) for a bit more atmosphere.

Parky has made 11 changes each time in the Trophy, perhaps not so many from the previous round but from the previous match. I guess the players are all fresh fairly fresh after the break from the league and most of the players will want minutes on Tuesday, now we are getting closer to the prize and to get into Parky's thoughts for Northhampton.

I feel the strategy will change in terms of selection now. In the past it was just playing a reserve side even if players like Bolton , Boyle , Jones , Forde etc had no route to the first team. I don’t see us now picking Boyle and Bolton for the sake of it, I think it’s only going to be players who may contribute to the first team in the run in, maybe with the addition of Ashfield.

I can see it and truly hope it is the same lineup as Port Vale but with a bench full of first teamers.

I get that trophies are trophies but I dont think you run out an XI full of first teamers until the semis if you get there.

Ultimately this trophy is a side quest to the goal of the season and I hope Parky & management sees it this way as well.

If you ever thought that The Wrexham Insider was a load of tosh, read what this (AI) goon has to say about the upcoming fixture. He (it) thinks Ian Evatt is still the Bolton manager! 😄

"However, there is one thing Evatt and his Bolton players will be wary of — the intense home crowd at the Racecourse, who imbue Wrexham with that extra edge they need at times."

If I was Parky I would put my strongest team out for the 2 remaining cup games.we all want to have a day out at Wembley. Possibility against Birmingham
They will sell out their allocation of around 40,000 fans. We might sell 25 000.
Giving us a pay out of around d £500 000.just imagine playing a wakened team against Bolton and getting knocked out.
That weakened team could be 2 goals down against a rejuvenated Bolton team.
We then bring on our superstars chasing the game when it's too late.
There are plenty of points to be won in the remaining league fixtures.
We can put some of the fringe players against Northampton and still beat them.
What a spectacle
Wrexham v Birmingham would be a great spectacular at Wembley.
We had a great day out in the LDV previously.
Come on the players will love it as well.
Be strong and go Strong.
Phil

We'd take more than 25k. We took that many to the FA Trophy final.

Yeah let’s play Brunt and Smith and Rathbone then when one of gets injured in a cup everybody slagged off all season see the meltdown on RP
