Brum tickets

Yes they did and as I have stated I apply for the ones I can get to when I am not working so why don't you bore off don't comment if you don't like someone else's opinion on a matter
You said what's the point if people can't get tickets, implying it's a closed shop, when it clearly isn’t.

You must be really unlucky if the only time you're not working is when we have a local away game!

At what point did I say I only get to apply for local away games I am saying I don't even get on to get a ticket for the local/big away games even after travelling to the arse and of no where to watch them while there is people that only ever seem to go the local/big ones and get tickets for everyone even when they can't get tickets for home games

You seem to be very confused?

1. If you go to away games but struggle for big/local games, a priority system would suit you.

2. You're saying some fans get the big/local away games but don't bother with any others. A priority system would stop this.

Which begs the question, why don't you want a priority system, when it will clearly benefit you, which it should, as you travel to away games.

Once again where does it say I don't want one my point is how would you get points when you can't get tickets like I have said I can't ever seem to get any tickets for any games apart from the one it's my dad that gets most of our away games but again he has struck out on all big/local away games since the start of the conference winning season as people have said I can understand missing out cause they are sold out but not even getting the chance to even try is starting to get frustrating espically when as you have started you can get them for the ass and if no where but I can't always go to these games

You're boring now!

We've established you don't want a loyalty scheme because of your work commitments. Selfish right?

Whereas fans who want a loyalty scheme actually want it for the right reasons. Virtually all clubs in the Premier League and Championship have loyalty schemes, so it's not anything new! Fans who spend thousands and make sacrifices get rewarded. Pretty simple!

Here's the irony...a priority scheme would suit you as sales are staggered times, so you'd probably manage to get tickets. Saying that, you only want to go to Birmingham, Bolton, Shrewsbury and Stockport!

No. You’ve established nothing of the sort.

The way tickets are sold means there are plenty of fans who would go to games that couldn’t get tickets, certainly last year, because they have jobs that meant they couldn’t be on phones on a Monday morning. Those fans, like me, regularly missed out on tickets. Not because they were only after the big games or because they are part time fans but because games were selling out in literally 2 minutes.

That is all fair enough if 7000 season ticket holders were after 2000 tickets and it is no one else’s fault that that was the time the club put them on sale. Zero complaints if miss out fair and square.

My point is, and always was, just because that was situation in past I do not think it is fair for people who would have spent their time and money going to games had they got tickets to now miss out on tickets for the more popular games in future.

If you must know yes I did travel to games further afield last year that didn’t sell out immediately as I want to go to games and do more than my fair shere of travelling. I would have some loyalty points should a system come in but feel the entitlement some have is embarrassing, so, on balance, I think a fair ballot of season ticket holders who want to go is a better system than a loyalty system.

How can't you get tickets if all away games since February have taken at least a day to sell out with the exception of Crewe and Birmingham?

Anyone know of any buses with space on from Wrexham or nearby?

My friend is a member and works in a factory and has been to every away game apart from Shrewsbury since the turn of the year. He has one chance at 2pm, yet he manages to get tickets for every game. So, how is it "the way tickets are sold" the problem when season ticket holders have two bites at the cherry?

The facts are everyone wants to go to the likes of Birmingham, Bolton and Shrewsbury so the demand will outstrip the supply. The fair way to distribute tickets is via a loyalty system. Every club that has a need for one, has one.

Your suggestion of a ballot is laughable. A ballot is fair, but a system which rewards fans for attending games isn't. Have a day off!

We'll agree to disagree but the system is coming whether you like it or not.

Every time I read through one of these threads debating the intricacies of loyalty schemes we don't actually have, I feel closer to understanding the people who comment on the women's team threads but don't really like women's football.

Yes I think you make a fair point here in that those lucky enough to get the big game tickets could then be rewarded with points for being lucky, with those who missed out punished for being unlucky.

Here they would need to implement dynamic awarding of points based on the importance of the fixture and this is often done. So Shrewsbury away = 0 points but Crawley away = 5 points.

That way you can implement a fairer scheme that does reward loyalty.

It starts with a base number for ST holders but members can get tickets for these such games and so can get on the ladder too, so it also prevents it being a closed shop to ST holders.

In addition to that it adds incentive for people and thus increased revenue for the club, Coventry did it when we played them and increased the points allotted if fans attended our game vs them.
