I've got a weird request for you Wrexham fans. But do any of you on here have a close connection the club and would be able to ask the question to them of has Wrexham got into contact with our club about the possibility of finding a way to open the massive multi story car park that is located, literally behind the away terrace and also conviently a 5 min walk from town. I have asked my club through email and social media and am yet to receive a response, as we only have two paid memeber of off field staff.

This car park is owned by Lloyds(I think) and used by employees thru mon-fri. It has been opened before for big games at a small cost per car. As you can imagine this affect home fans as much as away fans and I'm hoping your club could maybe exert a bit of pressure on ours to find out if it's available or not.

Cheers in Advance.

I've been hoping this multi story opens to be honest

I don't know how the agreement has worked in the past, but I don't think we've opened it in the past 3-4 seasons. If it doesn't open, I'm not going to blame the club, I'm just hoping they're exhausting all avenues to get it open. It will just make a big difference to traffic around the ground if it does open.

From my point of view it will be easier to go there by train ( living in Manchester) but I agree getting that car park open on a non working Bank Holiday would be good for both sets of supporters. Suggest you ring the bank but be prepared for all sorts of security questions before you get an answer.!

Update, on our forum someone has said there are a few structural issues with the concrete and that the owners would not warrant opening it anymore for sporting events. It's a shame but I thought would give you a heads up.

Also there was a rumour going around earlier and it's still being mentioned now, that you have also received an extra 600 tickets for sponsors/players families/hospitality in the usual away portion of our east stand.

If this is true, thank you for the money lol. But also well done on that support. Maybe almost 5000 fans is crazy. But where are the 150-200 that turns up a few seasons for a 4-0 loss in the trophy before covid 😂😂.

Where else is there to park?

To be fair there is loads of places to park in town centre and near train station. Eureka car park is a big one as well as quite a few other pay and display car parks. Being a. Bank holiday these Might be free to use. You will have a 5-10 min walk depending where you park in town centre. And if you have the time. The bottom end of Halifax town centre is nice these days, especially if you have a bit of time to get around piece hall, etc.

While you have Hollywood owners, we are actually a mini Hollywood in our own right. Most highly rated tv shows and even some marvel movies these days seem to come out of Halifax/Calderdale

Parked just behind the away end last year only to return to damaged cars and the local meatheads kicking mirrors off cars, hopefully with over 4000 going this year, this won't happen this year.
