January Transfer Window

I have seen him several times. He is definitely not one hell of a player. He is above average at his level.
Mate says he’s class at that level purely because he’s fit, powerful and ridiculously good in the air - he can’t bring the ball out though which is essential to go higher. Like Max….

Would be funny to take him and loan to TNS immediately.

Haven't fabricated anything.

Our top fit striker has 2 league goals to his name after 18 games. We have a defender whose scored more than all our fit strikers combined so far this season.

I see that as a cause of concern if promotion is what the club hierarchy are aiming for. We're owned by ambitious people, not the make do and mend brigade.
We are second in the league though, so I'd say when Mullin is fit and firing we'll be fine. I still have faith that will happen.

Plus January is no the time to be buying a striker, we could be in the Championship by the time the summer window opens and therefore would be able to get a much higher calibre of player.

I think some fans are going to be disappointed come Feb 1st

Offer £10k for Burke, see if they take it. Send him back on loan to Curzon.

No it doesn't extend to the manager because he knows what he's doing and I doubt he's as quick as some fans to write players off.

Realism would be accepting a player who's had back surgery and no pre season is going to take time to get back to where he was.
Realism would be looking at the league table in December and seeing that the need for a striker isn't really there given the number of strikers in the squad already and the fact that our star striker hasn't even got going yet.

You and others have fabricated this so called striker 'issue' and are banging on about it like we're in Shrewsbury's situation.

You seem to think like a fan who is so glad we are out of the NL there cannot be anything more to wish for or aim at. You also seem more than happy that our strikers — for various reasons — are not performing to the same level as the rest of the team. And you clearly think PACE should be confined to the Clink!

I suspect R&R and PP think somewhat differently. Of course, I am only surmising. We will find out in January, once the TW opens. Meanwhile, I am more than happy to join the group of nogoodboyos who have the audacity and lack of understanding to think we will sign 2 better strikers in January.

PS I think Mullin will come good but, equally, I don’t think he will have as great an impact as you are confident he will.

I'll tell you who I am glad we didn't sign - Stephen Humphrys. That shot that went out for a throw in on Tuesday night was hilarious.
I thought he was really useful for wigan last season in the league cup, and based on that thought he might offer us something different. But he was bossed by O’Connell on Tuesday

I think Humphrys has been locked in a KFC for a weeks!

True - I don't think he has enough to make a difference for us - however, EOC was superb and would make it hard for anyone at this level performing as he did

I've heard the opposite and that he brings the ball out well and goes past player's easily, most Chester fans want him playing centre midfield.

Does that extend to our manager who is not starting him currently?

I didn't say I'd replace him, just that we need to get some more goals from our forward line. If Mullin steps up to the plate, fantastic! But at the same time, I'm sure those who own our club are not going to hang around until the end of his contract in 2027 for him to find his form again.

I think it's called realism, not lacking class as you acuse me and many other of on a regular basis.
There’s a big difference between 2027 and 2025, so let’s see where Mullin is by the second half of the season and beyond
