Lincoln (H) tickets on sale 10am

I thought I would test the water. This is the response I have had from Lincoln City.

Good morning

Thank you so much for your email and I hope this finds you well.

Unfortunately we genuinely do not know at the moment.

We did postpone our last match on international call up weekend but Wrexham did not they still played so currently I guess it is 50/50 which doesn’t help with your question.

We are selling tickets and bus travel though until we hear otherwise so as far as we are concerned in the ticket office the game is currently definitely on.

Sorry I cannot give you any helpful information

It's completely out of their hands.

I'd expect it to be postponed, they've got 5 first team players that have been called up represent their country at either full international level or age groups in the last six months. If 3 of those are called up they'll request it to be off.

Wrexham away is statistically one of the toughest games for the other 23 teams in League One, they'll want a full squad when they come here.

Wonder if we and other clubs have contingency plan if our / their games are postponed?

Play a team that also has had their game postponed on the 12th?

I know we have played teams on different dates when we haven’t had a game due to:

International Call ups / Weather / cup involvement / covid ..

Would be a good idea as that is Lincoln now with 2 midweek games to schedule in before any bad weather comes

When are the squads announced though? Isn't it two weeks before? Therefore, is that enough time to get everything in place? I'd guess all clubs that don't have the required amount of call ups would be trying to organise games, so who plays who?

It's a good idea but seems a bit rushed and problematic to organise as well as needing EFL clearance, police clearance etc. The instance this does happen is generally when it's FA cup weekend and both teams are out and have around a month to bring a game forward. The game in question is usually a midweek game as well, so it works out best for both clubs.

Going by the last announcement from Bellamy and Lincoln City it was 10 days. So yeah as you say may not be doable.

Stevenage’s game v Bolton scheduled for 12 October was annouced by Stevenage yesterday postponed due to call ups.

So far our home game versus Lincoln is still scheduled to go ahead. No info from either club as of yet anyway.

Thanks No shock.
