Since we have a thread for ex-players, why not one to keep track of our loaned out players and how they're getting on? After all, they may end up back in the fold at some point.

Players currently on loan:
  • Luke McNicholas
  • Jordan Davies
  • Billy Waters
  • Jake Bickerstaff
  • Sam Dalby
The team website currently only lists McNicholas and Davies. Have I missed anyone?

Jordan was doing great until he got hurt, out for an extended period of time. The 3 not listed have articles very recently about their loans on the team site so they will be added to the loanee list soon.

Club usually do a post on a Monday about how they get on

I would assume some of the younger players will get moves to WPL or English (national league north or below) teams soon. We seem so stacked im not sure they will even get game time in the EFL trophy.

Transfer window has closed in Wales so they can't sign anyone. We can't loan to national league clubs as it's an international transfer and the window is also closed.

We really needed to sort some loans out for some of our youth players for development. Outside of McNicholas which I think is a cracking loan.

The rest are simply loans to palm off some of their wages. And I can't see any of them featuring for us again.

McNicholas is 24. I don't think you can call him a youth player.
A very strange signing all round.

I think he had potential, and I don't want to say never, but it doesn't look like he's going to be better than Okonkwo is and Arthur is 22.

I don't think it was a strange signing though. The lay of the land when he signed permanently was us as a League Two team with our goalkeepers being a loanee (Arthur), someone at the tail end of his career (Howard) and someone who is permanently injured (Lainton) - so it made sense at the time.
