Posh reaction

Not really mate, injuries and a bug forced the changes we made. TOC has beeN fine the last two matches, but I genuinely think Brunt brings more in terms of advancing with the ball. Same as you could argue that Max was less exposed yesterday, because Revan offered a little more support than Barney; but Barney brings way more going forward. Guess we can’t have it all.
Sure he offers more going forward, but until that offering translates into more goals for than against, then I’m more comfortable with TOC on the pitch.

The problem is we have 5 very good CBs who should all be starting. That’s not even including Evans.

I mean it’s not fully impossible that we could have 6 of the top 10 CBs in L1. That might be exaggeration, but it also might not be.

Gutted we lost, I was sure we'd won after being at the game but after reading the first ten pages or so of this thread I must have got that wrong.
How many chances did we create for the strikers on Saturday?

Just your reminder that we concede more goals with TOC on the pitch than Brunt. It's factual information. Our goal difference since he come in is 0.

This is the big issue with the strikers. We're not creating lots of chances. We're set up to concede very few... it's working as we're in joint 2nd but it means we're not create lots and lots.

Matty James has also meant we're playing on the floor more with a slower build up. This doesn't suit Mullin who always wants the ball early.

I agree that Brunt is better but I can't see what he'd have done differently - especially in a game where the issues came down the RHS of our defence.

Well said. This is the real issue.
Bring in whatever strikers you want, nothing will change unless we create opportunities for them. In general, we don't.

We had 19 shots v Barnsley and 17 (I know that's hard to believe) v Posh according to the BBC's match stats

From sitting on the temp kop I initially thought Revan's shots were overhit crosses. It's only when watching the highlights I realised they were efforts on goal.
