I remember the start of the build!That's only fairly recent when Queen's Park was built.
I lived in Hightown when the build was still going on, then moved to Y Wern. Don’t recall any Scouse influx.Sorry, it was not meant as an insult at all, neither to you and your family nor the scousers.
It's just an observation that I don't remember anybody from Liverpool in Wrexham until the Queen's Park estate was built and there was a big population influx.

I think I'm a little younger than you so although I remember something happening there I can't remember any great details.
My uncle had a shop in Queen's Park and I'm pretty sure that's where I heard the story about Liverpudlians moving there.
If that wasn't the case (and it sounds like maybe it's not after all), then I'd be very interested what the source of the scouse twang in the Wrexham accent is.
