Howard 8 - confident display and some excellent saves. Shame we conceded at the end but no major damage

Hayden 8 - was excellent again
Tozer 7 - makes it look so easy. He’ll be disappointed with their goal
Tunnicliffe 7 - great header for the goal. Getting better every game

Forde 6 - not been as dynamic in the past few games but steady without being spectacular
Young 6 - quiet first half but drove the team on in the 2nd half. Almost rewarded with a goal
O’Connor 9 - thought he was the glue again but with a touch of absolute class. What a free kick
Mendy n/a not sure what the problem was as no-one was around him when he pulled up.

Lee 8 - great cross for the goal and tormented them throughout the first half. Withdrew a little when Mendy went off but still capable.

Mullin 6 - not at the races today but you know he’s always capable. Nice touch giving his boots away.
Palmer 6 - like Mullin, didn’t appear interested but came to life in 2nd half and with a bit of luck, he could have scored.

Subs
McFadzean 7 - never lets anyone down
Jones 6 - needed his running towards the end
Dalby n/a

A great win against a team going through a bad patch. They will come good again.

Howard Scored an own goal was flat footed and out of postion when Hayden headed of the line, also one of the saves he made he parried back into dangerous position. Although he made some great vital saves he still worries me. Lainton is such a better GK n my opinion.

Mendy looks like another hamstring injury.
Mcfadzean positionally is poor at times particularly for the goal, this has happened on other occasions in previous games.

Fair ratings Draig, I'd nudge Tunnicliffe and Forde up by 1 and Mullin down to 5, he was dire but thankfully it didn't matter

Not sure either of our front two deserved a 6 - their away performances and lack of away goals both need improving. Palmer looked like he’d ate one too many mince pies over Xmas.

Doesn’t make sense compare that to his performances at home.

So you are saying Lainton wouldn't have made them errors.

Don’t really get the excitement about Mendy… he could potentially be a very good player for us but for me he hasn’t done enough to displace Mcfazdean. He was all over the shop last week and looked similar today until he went off.

Looked like the same injury as previously which is a shame for him. Hopefully not too serious.
