Are the other bits and pieces sorted to host UEFA games? I'm sure I heard they need to extend the run off area around the pitches and a bigger media zone before we can host competitive games.
All sounds a bit daft given some of the shitholes Wales have played in in recent years.

100% this. As someone who doesn't really think big, was there when Flynn's teams could barely manage 5k I take the point that we wouldn't need a massive stadium. However, these boys do think big and do big. The glass ceiling has been removed, the goalposts have been moved. Think big.
There's no way we're getting Wales games up here if that's the case. 🤓

I would imagine the details will emerge in the next days and weeks - this felt like an intro statement with lot of stuff to trickle down over time with the end result being a few blueprints released of how they expect this all to look in a future state.

Exciting times on and off the pitch.
To give you an idea of how long a Council involved project takes here is a first hand knowledge of one. During my 2012-2018 term I came up with an idea for the old Wenffrwd land fill site outside Llangollen. To turn it in to a nature reserve, bike park, footie pitch site with car parking and a circular path along the old railway line to Llangollen to be used by walkers. I got a visit by the Corporate Director and £50k initially and guided the project through commitee.
Match funding started and AONB took over. The footie pitches and cycle park got lost as I was no longer in post, but the old rail path and wild life patk got done, along with parking to allow visitors to park and walk.
The point I am making is that finally some 2021 some progress had been made

But it took another year ish to come to complete! So in all about 7 years to do a simple project! Dream on if you think the new Kop is going to be up and running in a year or so time! The money? Usually grants like this aren’t handed over as such, they are held in abeyance until criteria is met.

Ahoy there skipper!

The amount of capital required.for the stadium, training grounds, personnel is staggering. Wonder how long to break even or how to control it so it's not too much? Most projects this size overrun

I would think our new CEO would be all over this, given his previous experiences.

And now we have to pay to park there, reducing it's appeal somewhat.

would it be unthinkable that the club could still purchase back Colliers Park?
