On first viewing I'd say it's an OK episode (compared to the last 2 which were great)
Bit of a discourse about the emotions from players and fans in derby games (hence the title).
Then the back story to why (other clubs) fans hate James McClean so much. I'm sure that segment stands a good chance of alienating many English fans who watch the show, but it was a nuanced and sympathetic explanation of why he makes the stand he does. Yet again the technique was used of showing the outrage that's out there by screening explicit expletive riddled screenshots from 'X' (is it now called that because so much of it is X rated?). Regardless of your view of James, no one, nor their families, should have to endure such vile threats!
A bit about the ladies too, which picked up on the 'trouble' theme a bit by showing more crunching tackles than usual. This was taken around the time that the league split into the champion and relegation groups and a lot of talk from the team and manager about getting top 2 or better, which, of course, didn't pan out.
A bit more football than usual and with the men's automatic promotion by no means achieved yet, it sets the scene nicely for the final episode.

Enjoyed it.

Thought they covered the McClean story relatively well, although not sure the point of including his song and then cutting off half way through it.

Think it’s noticeable how much more air time sponsors have been getting on this series, obviously understandable, but not necessarily what I want from watching a sports documentary.

I felt it worked well in terms of setting things up for the grand finale. The rivalry with Tranmere seemed over-egged in terms of its ferocity - can anyone recall many cases of serious disorder between the two sets of fans in recent years?

Arguably, the James McClean/Derry storyline could've done with being a bit longer to allow more background and nuance.

The highlights for me were the match action - Parky and Parkin's remonstrations with the officials continue to be hilarious.

Indeed.
What also comes across is how old school headmasterish the officials can be, continually treating the managers like children who need to told to calm down :). I will agree that frequently they do need to, but the docuseries has captured many moments when Parky is very calm with the officials. Perhaps the ref should try asking him to not be so sarcastic!

Enjoyed this one as well. Hard not to like James McClean, seems a decent fella who’s entitled to his beliefs more than most with everything that’s gone on back home for him.

It’s been a great series so far.

At least the sponsor drop in worked well as a lead in to the women’s reaction to going on tour hah

You knew they had to end this one with the Doncaster loss to gin up the suspense for the final push in the last episode.

Yeah, I could do without the embedded advertising bit, although the only bit that really jarred was sitting down with the Head of Marketing and Visioneering or whatever. If they'd just dropped the existing ad in that wouldn't have been as jarring but surely no-one wants to hear from a sponsor about why they wanted to 'partner' with the club (or is that just me?).

I think this one felt a bit less powerful after last week's (and the one the week before which was generally very good if a bit Notts-heavy), but I guess the one before the 'season finale' is always going to be a bit of a change of pace.

I stand by what I said last week about the podcast clips though, the ones taken from the actual podcasts that went out at the time feel a lot more authentic and natural, the 'after the fact' ones give off a 'voiceover added to a film to explain the plot after test audiences found it confusing' vibe

That was the worst episode ever, I don't need a programme with hooligans front and centre it's just gives them fuel for the fire.

Interestingly they cut the part of the McLean song, and carried on like it was normal.

Excellent again.
This series has been the best so far imo.
