This episode certainly deserves its own thread.
The women's last 2 games. And I'd completely forgotten how close they were.
That really adds to the drama in this episode and the tension releases at the successful conclusions.
Genuine emotions and tears from the players really demonstrate what all of this means to them, and, indeed, to us.

I was a little surprised it was only twenty minutes given how dramatic the two games were, but then again it is only two games. It was a nice little coda and summation of why promotion was so important last year - instead of losing players to bigger teams because they stayed amateur, they were able to keep their core and sign better players around them.

I only loosely followed the women via the Twitter updates, I remembered both games were tight and low scoring (with Morgan as the key to the playoff) but forgot the actual scores, now I want to watch the highlights and stuff back on the YouTube. It was interesting how similar the league celebration was compared to the men’s with Rob and Ryan right on the outside of the podium.

Bit over the top constantly comparing a team going 12 games unbeaten in an amateur league to teams playing professionally in a 46 game season.

It was good to see R+R’s involvement in this episode which confirms their overall ambition with Wrexham which, I think, includes the title ‘Yn Codi’ rather than the English ‘Rising’.
Small, maybe, but a statement by them, not the first, about the Welsh language.

Exactly. The women have done really well but it's comparisons with the men's game that are a nonsense.

I was just saying how the on field celebration of the league looked similar with Rob and Ryan being involved there too, wasn’t making a comment on comparing the leagues themselves. I do think there’s a bit of a parallel in that getting promoted opens up the door to more advertising and better players but it’s the same in almost any promotion situation

I thought this episode was great and one of the best - and the character of the women players really shone through throughout.

Probably my favourite of the two episodes this week. There are some very likeable characters in the women's team and you could see what winning promotion and also playing at the Racecourse meant to them.

The big difference between the women and the men is the links the women have to the town. To me Lili Jones from a footballer perspective is the star of the series. Her comment that really resonated was growing up and idolising the men because there were no women. It’s fantastic to know that will change and people will idolise people like her.

Parts of this episode around the games were great, but I think Rosie's goal at the Racecourse was flat in the edit. I remember the tension building up on the day (better chosen football footage needed) and then they only showed the last half of the goal at a weird angle. The play started from the very back and the angle of Hughes running at the camera used in one of the promos gave a better sense of celebration. I also would have loved to see Ryan and his family celebrate vs. him and Rob crashing Rosie's interview. Curious about Blake's experience of it.

What in the world am I complaining about? Two full episodes on the women's team is two thumbs up from me.
