Wrexham 3 Salford City 2

Conceding 25 goals in 13 league games suggests otherwise.

Orient last season conceded just 34 in winning the title. Stevenage in 2nd conceded 39, Stockport in 4th 37. Unbeaten Mansfield have so far conceded just 10.

Even with that solid defence Mansfield are on the same points as us and even after 6 consecutive league wins Stockport are just 3 points ahead indicating there's more than one way to accumulate points.

The scary thing for the rest of the league is we are nowhere near our best yet and we've gained so many points from sheer graft and determination which bodes well for the rest of the campaign because you can't buy that spirit

These late goals aren't arriving by luck or dodgy officials despite the protestations of our rivals

Its been a mad first quarter of a season so far. I think we've only really clicked in two games in the League - Tranmere away and Grimsby at home but despite that we're in 5th and 3 points off the top. What a chance we have for back-to-back promotion which would be unreal.

Late goals are coming because of the quality of our 'finishers' to use a bit of rugby speak. Fletcher and Davies are both game changers in their current form.

At the back I think we'll tighten up when Tunni comes back in. Hayden doesn't look 100% to me. Ditto Mullin but that's understandable.
