According to my book "Wrexham. A complete record 1872 - 1992 the official crowd for the Brighton game was 14,081. Our first ever game in the old second division. 0-0 and a bloody anti-climax if ever there was one.
The highest crowd that season was v Stoke, 20,211 (lost 0-1).
