His reputation is still high with me despite the end to the season, he stood up to the plate but unfortunately wasn't good enough wwhen it counted. Doesn't diminish his service here.
Same IMO with the likes of Carey, Morrell and Keates. Carey was ultimately not a manager. Morrell was a great manager but couldn't recruit. And Keates got us strong but couldn't fully deliver and took an opportunity he couldn't refuse.
All were fantastic servants to the clubs as players and their management stints should not diminish what they gave us.
