I remember my dad saying we had to get up early as we are going to support the Reds at Barrow. We had an old Ford 8. top speed around 45 mph. The M6 was still an idea and the journey took longer than it would now to cross the Atlantic.

We had a good team that year (1961 - 62) winning promotion to Division 3.
With goals from Bennion and Evans we won 0:2 - I predict the same score tonight and the same season's outcome.
Great respect to the dedicated Reds who are able to make the trip, I wish I could still cope with the journey.
