Yes he was mid 50's. No not been ill as far as I know, it came as a massive shock to everyone.
He'll be missed no doubt about that, he went to almost if not every game home or away and regardless of how well or terrible the team was doing.
Ever the optimist he would always try to get me to see the brighter side of things when I was being my usual pessimistic self about our chances. He was undeniably Wrexham through and through and had a heart of gold.

Still in shock myself, as you say Wrexham through and through. Known him since we used to travel as kids on the official coaches, him and his mate from Mold hardly ever missed a game. Lived for Wrexham and worshipped his lad Dion. Had some great awaydays over the years with him. The only time I've ever seen fear on his face was when Boston scored during 'that game'! Laughed forever after it. True Wrexham legend.
