I have banged on about the turnout for years.

I am a member of another organisation that linked democratic membership to financial incentives, much like the club have via ticket prices or advanced sales. That skews that democratic process even in subtle ways, for example for us the margin of percentages to carry certain things changes.

It gives a perception of big mandate democracy. What sounds better 4000 owners or 300 owners?

4000 active democratic fans or 3-400 odd?

If it was required voting and participation it would force an interest or at least clear up the reality on the state of democracy.

Currently the recent board QnA is clear, no mandate for touting for ‘investment’ as people bang on about, the recent EGM shows no appetite for that.

To me it is clear the 4000 odd owners are wonderfully content. Content to get a discount and content with a relegation battle perhaps!
