I can see why Spencer kept this quiet. Eisner the Portsmouth owner used exactly the same reason for buying the supporter owned club as R and R have stated. He is also using the 'global force ' phrase.
Eisner said in an interview with the Daily Mail ‘My son said to me that we ought to find a very famous team that had fallen on hard times and build it back.
