Not quite sure why everyones dead against him being made player coach?
Surely it would make him feel more valued as a person and club member !!
Not sure it would affect his game

Is there another 28 year old captain of a professional football club doing the same ? I doubt it, its madness imo. Just let the lad play.

If you speak to any of our experienced players they will tell you he is already taking his badges and is 'nailed on' to be a coach/manager in years to come.

He will probably replace Ricketts in 12-18 months.... Much as I like Pearson he was also part of our end of season capitulation and he is the Captain.

First team coach no, but captains are the link to the management team. Who knows what that captains role links up with in the modern game? If he wants to take a few sessions with the kids as a model pro then why not.

Other wise, a shave a wash and a short back and sides will do me.
