Re: National League decides games are ON after meeting
I can't see this all coming to a rapid conclusion - football to resume early April ? we shall see - this is only the start.
It has already been said in various news articles that the current plight will be with us until spring 2021 and is likely to 'blow up' similar to flu every winter from hereon. Eventually, although when is difficult to say, but when the initial panic buying of bog rolls subsides and a bit of normality returns life will just carry on and we will have to get on with it - however it is all new and yet too reach a peak - vaccines for the vulnerable will be introduced and we'll all plod on. |
Re: National League decides games are ON after meeting
It is all well and good to have opinions, but when you consider the mentality of those who are hoarding bog rolls, the rest of us have to accept that they are doing so because of those "opinions."
Let's face it, there will be decisions taken during the course of the next few weeks/months by officials who haven't a clue today what they will then decide! (And they might even be some of those who are hoarding those bog rolls today...) |

Breaking news on sky sports[/QUOTE] The National League has suspended all fixtures until 3 April because of the coronavirus pandemic. On 13 March all games were suspended for at least three weeks in England's Premier League, EFL, Women's Super League and Championship, plus in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. The National League initially decided not to follow suit and six fifth-tier games went ahead on Saturday. But on Monday they said playing on was not practical in the immediate future. |

Not an easy decision to make though is it. It's the right one to make but suspending it puts a lot of pressure on clubs with limited financial resources which is obviously more prevalent in our league. If we don't end up finishing the season I think some clubs will really struggle to continue next season. |
