Re: Potential Non-League Salary Cap
Are Wrexham one of the 12 clubs wanting to bring in the cap.?

Re: Potential Non-League Salary Cap
Can't see clubs voting this through and nor should there be a salary cap. You can bet we're one of the 12 clubs

What has our budget been in the last few seasons?

Financial fair play should be brought in instead. |

Yeah all for that but just a blanket salary cap is plain wrong. If some owner wants to do what Salford did what's wrong with that? It'll be clubs like us who are going backwards and are jealous of others who will be pushing this. |

First team expenses were about 1.4 million in the last accounts if I recall correctly. What percentage of that is wages isn't disclosed but was probably close to the 900k figure. Anyway, it's a crazy idea. As others have said, do FFP if you want restrictions of some kind. You could have a club turning over millions and not allowed to spend it. |
Re: Potential Non-League Salary Cap
a salary cap would balance things in favour of smaller clubs. Basically we want a model that favours big clubs. i.e. you can spend as much money as you want as long as its funded by yourselves. Not sure what the real difference is between that or having a sugar daddy.
