Although we have the centre back position covered better than any other position - other than Pearson we simply don't have leaders and communicators - Mcnulty fits that bill but has probably become available a year too late. Time for Tharme to step up to the plate - the best prospect we have had for some time but to progress his development he must be given game time.
That’s pretty much where I was coming from when I started the post. We do need more talkers on the pitch and people who can organise, can’t always leave it to Pearson. Tharme is a prospect but the Conference is a tough place to learn your trade but he does need to be blooded eventually, but from history sides going up tend to have experienced lads who know the division. Just thought I’d throw it out there if we went to a back 3 he’d make a good sweeper or only until January.
