Clearly the calibre of managers that apply for the Wrexham job is decreasing rapidly. Spencer stated in the members meeting that Graham Barrow got the job after stating he didn't want it because he said that "He could do a better job than those that were shortlisted" This is a bloke that first of all didn't want to be a manager, hadn't been one for 14 years previously and only achieved one season of success, back in 1994. This is also ignoring the absolute embarrasement just a few months previously by giving the managers job to an assistant manager in Andy Davies.

Then we hired Bryan Hughes who struggled and got sacked at Scarborough and then became a footgolf manager. The standard of applicants must have been dire for him to get the job.

The hiring Keates who a huge section of the fans didn't want, I can only assume the calibre of applicants was also dire to welcome him back. It was also stated that 20 people had applied, compare that to previous years where I'm sure it's been stated that hundreds had applied.

The club is a basketcase and the footballing world knows it. We need to freshen up the board and then scream about it. Kind of like a failing restaruant that screams "UNDER NEW OWNERSHIP" to try and get back on track
I dont agree with alot of the anti-Keates stuff that you have brought up previous but I think alot of that is fair. Appointment of Hughes was the most bizzare, at the time you could sort of understand Davies/Barrow because they wanted to keep the ball rolling (although in hindsight looking at the Davies appointment they shouldnt have touched Barrow with a bargepole.)

Keates (to me) looked a reasonably sane option, however as you say it did appear as if it was always going to be him and we had no other reasonable options.

We are a basketcase of a club. Going round in circles at the moment.
