It's the game plan. You pull your full backs in narrow, force the opponent to put the ball out on the wings rather than being able to run at the defense. Then you can put two players on the winger to isolate him, forcing him to either play a rushed cross or lose possession.
My nerves about Ricketts being unproven are melting away every time I watch Wrexham. His experience as a player at modern high level football has given him a tactical knowledge that I haven't seen before from a Wrexham manager. Having him, as well as the Ward money, there's no reason we shouldn't be finishing in the top 3 at the least.
