Default Left side

This is the third game in a row where the left back of the opposing team has freedom to attack our right flank. I thing this has got round among managers
And is an obvious weakness. Why is this.

I think in part SDR wants the wide players pushing higher up so there will be times when they leave gaps but he said pre-season he wants them to not drop back into positions they don't need to. It just means Roberts and Jennings will get more exposed at times this season.

Its because the wide players are narrowing the game. Drew has pace and needs to use the space out wide as this will put them on the back foot more.

Use the pitch it is made so wide for a reason.

It is something that needs working on but we cant have it both, out and out wingers or players who can get up and support the big man. We lookd better today, on Tuesday MFT looked totally isolated for long periods. If we can push the front 3 higher up, it means the midfield 3 will have to work their nuts off but hopefully we can get teams particularly at the Racecourse on the back foot. They looked very ordinary at the back when Pyke came on and SDR instructed Summerfield to to move 15 yards higher up.

How on earth is Pearson rated so highly on today's performance?

That was amongst his worse in a Wrexham shirt first half. He nearly cost us a goal early on knocking the ball into the path of the attacker and was continually misplacing passes.

Granted he improved second half, and he may have been one of those feeling under the weather, but 8 out of 10? Never.

Agree it was his worst for us. He still looks like he is carrying an injury.

Leighton, Manny & Summerfield all deserve an equal share of MOM today.

If as reported some players were reported to be suffering from a sickness bug then todays win is an even better result against a tough physical side. Sharing the water bottles around though probably aint the best idea though!!!
