I wonder where the word 'sack' comes from, in terms of relieving someone of their employment. Does it mean metaphorically throwing someone away like a throwing a litter of unwanted kittens into a river, or is it cutting off their metaphorical nutsack? Similarly, does 'fired' represent being set on fire, facing a firing squad, or being fired from a cannon like a human cannonball?
I suppose I could have just googled this. |

Wow, wow, wow!
This series just keeps getting better. This one was really fast paced and included a huge bunch of stuff but at no time did it feel cramped. After all the downers in prior episodes this was just a joy to watch. And we know that the best (even if not quite enough) is yet to come.

It paints things in an interesting light that our wage bill was £2.3m BEFORE the January window last season and Parkinson was still asking for more investment.

I really like Parky. I didn't always, a lesson in giving people a chance this episode for me.
The time he makes for fans (especially at that time when things weren't going to plan) and the way he speaks. Good guy. |
