Actually, I’ve changed my mind. Playing Barrow first up is the ideal time to play them as opposed to a cold Tuesday night when it’s blowing a gale.

Without looking at the stats, we’ve got a pretty good first game of the season record. I could be wrong. Perhaps I’m basing on the Stevenage game 11 years ago when we all thought non league would be a piece of piss.

We’ve lost once on the opening day in the Conference, at Bromley (aka the Mason Watkins-Clarke show).
