I agree with this and he was always on a hiding to nothing after reaching the play offs 3 years on the spin anything short of that was seen as failure. He wasn't given long enough to build his own team so we will never know about his recruitment. We lost the Beast to injury, Fowler, NKP, Obeng, Wright all moved for more money, Speight moved for personal reasons and Ashton, Keates and Harris went into decline so any manager with a reduced budget would have struggled.

He had as dramatic a wage bill cut as you can imagine, but then he did spend a fair old whack on Brett Ormerod and Andy Bishop’s wages. And allowed Kevin Thornton to take the mickey out of him for two years. And sign Junior N’Tame because he was waiting around for a past his best Dave Artell. He had some terrible luck too though. You can probably make a case for saying he should have been allowed to put it right after one bad season, but the “no ambition” crew would have caused merry hell.

As regards JJ it may be a temporary until end of season type thing?? JJ will just do the front man role ie dealing with the press etc and do the coaching on the training pitch as per CD and GB instructions.

Still think the DL rumour is good but it seems there are tough negotiations going on behind the scenes. Will it be too long I am sure other options will be looked at?

On a Shrewsbury site Danny Coyne still hadn't on the board Askey formation and tactics, also since they improved under Coyne it's with players Askey signed, a striker who's scored 5 goals in 6 games.

asked too over a year just missing out in the play offs.... They're notoriously bomb the following season like our 98 point team..... He was not shown any patience the season was 2 months old.
