Wrexham are currently lining up a bid for him. They are prepared to match his wage demands where as we aren't.

Hopefully 3 more forwards, 1 midfield and 1 defender to make 19. Hopefully a couple of pacy forwards and utility defender.

Just been on tranmere's forum and it does sound interesting. It's clear Mellon and Cook don't get on and a player for us who knows him well has been in contact with him an Cook apparently fancies the move. I just can't see it but Jesus what a coup it would be and it would actually make us favourites for top spot.

People say tranmere won't sell to a rival but didn't we let Harris and Jennings go the other way, if he's out of favour and not gonna be played they ain't gonna afford to keep him on the wage bill, so IF he is one of Keats targets this could well be on , cook , boden and holroid up top with a trialist striker sounds exiting to me

if my memory servers me correct both players were out of contract with us.. we offered them a new deal to return following season.. both declined out offer and signed for tranmere instead.

lets be realistic though. the money tranmere will ask for will price us out of cook.. so i dont belieave we have a chance of cook at all.. it will all just be rumor mongering with no pace in it

Don't see that many coming in to be honest. Think Keates has his first XI 'in the building' already (subject to Boden's arrival) so any other additions will be squad fillers.

Yes I would agree, the money's allocated. If we have a good start then maybe a 1/2 additions in January. Anybody else will be young players such as a couple that got released last season via twitter returning.
