Two games in - total of two goals scored and worryingly none by our strikers. Didn't go last night but from Saturday and pre season we are extremely weak up front - perhaps Manny agrees and thinks he can do better. On Saturday for the last few minutes Pearson pushed up as an attacker whilst Manny stayed back as 'last man'.

Perhaps a new striker will come in and change things and or depends who takes the lead in joining in with the attack. We should be better on set pieces with both Manny and Pearson who are decent headers of the ball.

A few which will be good for a CB but not enough on its own. I know its boring to say but we need another striker to put the cherry on the cake.

This is an interesting angle on tribal mentality. When Smith was released by Mills I went bonkers on here because he is a good player and it was to me clearly a step backwards. Most posters supported his release because the club had released him and of course in their eyes anything the club does is OK; whatever the club does.

Now he is back and 70% of the poll think he will score than more than 5 goals this season. So from being a declining centre half who we should get rid of, he has now become a hero and significant scorer for the season in the eyes of the tribal mentality. This says a lot about football fans.

When Manny was released by Mills I was disappointed but he hadn't been great that season. Mainly to being played out of position.
When Manny was re-signed this summer I was happy as we had Pearson too. I hoped they would make a good partnership
