Let's be honest. If I was aware of it yesterday morning, knowing we had such a big game today, I wouldn't of wanted it coming out until after the game. Guess they(The board) ain't happy with SR either way..

I think tbf to GGGG the squealer to the press has been from the screws side.

What would happen if say the Man Utd job was available and klopp applied for it?would Liverpool allow him to go? Surely it would become a messy legal situation ?

I am sure it will be in the contract that the LMA approved. When he is a manager of one club, he can't speak to another club about a vacancy, without the other current clubs permission.

I haven't really read the arguments between GGGG and others. My source isn't Shrewsbury based or linked to them in any way.

All joking aside we need to continue to be brave and appoint the best person for the job, we can't have one eye on appointing the candidate with the least likelihood of being poached or we will stagnate at this level even longer

He would just go and then they would argue about compensation. That's the practical solution and it's been debated to death but in employment law you can't force someone to carry on working for you against their will. If they breach a contract and that causes their employer losses then they can ultimately go to court and sue but no realistic way of making someone continue to come to work. People seem to want to ignore this point again and again. I am an employment lawyer albeit I am no expert in football management contracts I just know the laws of the land when it comes to employing people and associated contracts
