I suspect Blackpool quite rightly want him to play football.
I agree Beavon is a far better player but he is different. To be honest I was hoping we'd go and spend a bit of money and pinch someone off our rivals in this league.
We've had this happen to us previously so why can't we do this now?
I'm not suggesting we can go and spend silly money but lets show we mean business as we're in a great position.

Who is our top scorer? Can't be Fondop surely.

Edit. It is Fondop. That's bad. To be fair he doesn't play anymore

Anyone that can score has to be an improvement on the current selection.

Are we a team that creates and then squanders loads of chances? I don't think we do. I don't buy that we get a goal scorer and all our problems (there isn't many) are over and the title is wrapped up

Akil Wiright alone must have squandered at least 5 chances over the last couple of games

I agree and have made the point many times. In all fairness though it was the same last season when Quigley came in and he had to make it happen himself.

So whilst I am in general agreement on his injury situation and him signing I have to say he would improve us. Lets face reality here Grant isn't a goal scorer, in fact he isn't even a forward. I actually cannot believe we are trying to sign him unless we have plans to play him in midfield.

He’s bloody awful in front of goal, his composure is up there as one of the worst I’ve seen by a Wrexham midfielder.

a classic jigsaw, having said that hes improving so much as a box to box midfielder looking to get in there

I couldn't believe Wright started against Salford. Was dreadful against Solihull, barely got a kick for large periods. We need better than him too not just up front where we have issues. You can't have a midfielder in his position just sleep walking through games like he does.
