It's social media. 99.99% of brands are like this on Twitter.

There's a reason "Brand Twitter" is look upon with such disdain. I'd rather Wrexham didn't do it but it's seems to come with the territory to be "down with da kidz".

I won't lose sleep over them Tweeting a GIF intended to be funny though.

Engagement has nothing to do with being down with the kids. I'd say youngsters are the ones that can see through this faux twitter account. It's painful

Being of a certain age I associate twitter with Donald Trump and therefore never use it. For those of you and me who do use email and text can anyone tell me why the messages from the trust about signings and the like have dried up?

It doesn't, you're right. But Social Media is always looked at as a young person's game, and stuff like this is what 40+ year olds have decided appeal to the younger generations.

Every generation does it, just Social Media is the current time's medium to do it. People born in the 1930s and 1940s did it with people born in the 1970s and 1980s, and no doubt people born in the 1980s and 1990s will do it with people born in the 2020s and 2030s. Circle of life and all that.
