Cartilage recovery is typically 8 to 10 weeks

So it all depends on the precise nature of the injury. An impact injury is more likely to be cartilage. Whereas a twisting action on the knee is more likely to affect the ligaments

Not a medical person, but have had both injuries.
He did say cartilage and something else which I didn't quite catch but could have been ligaments also.

The weather forecast for Saturday is dreadful. Probably 40mph winds etc. I just hope, with this in mind, that Keates is on the training ground now with plans to keep the ball on the deck. It’s always a lottery when the balls spends a long time in the end, but it’s worse when we ain’t got the tall guys to aim for.

Already decided if the weather is windy Saturday I'm not going.

I got so frustrated watching our resident idiots lofting the ball as high as possible into a howling gust during the D&G game, that I'm not going through that again.
