I would have thought QR's opinion on how things would be segregated seems sensible and sufficient. But by the time all our insane politicians put their oar in we could end up with anything but common sense.
Surely whatever seats are available should be given to our supporters first.

I can see this being the Government approved and sensible approach - if crowds are allowed in at all.

Permitting the masses to travel by coach and rail then cross contaminating with the locals can be avoided - it's a simple string to the bow and an easy condition to enforce - it could be argued that there would be more available capacity for home fans.

perhaps restricting each stadium to a set number of say 1,000 for example is not the way to go - it would make more sense and be safer to calculate a 'safe' maximum number for each separate stand dependent on the maximum available capacity for each stand - you would like to think we could be permitted far more supporters than say Boreham Wood who's average home attendance is about 450 - other factors would have to be considered - standing areas as opposed to seating and entry & exit points - face coverings will be interesting - will they be compulsory and can they be enforced by stewards.

The 1000 restriction is only being asked for as a temporary measure as they sort out the details of the longer term capacity restrictions.
This will ensure at least some crowds whilst they work out a sensible solution.

Of course the longer term solution will depend on how big the second wave is and the Govts reactions to it.

I think you will get a significant rise in cases but only a modest rise in deaths. Until a vaccine is available its the worlds biggest ever balancing act in all facets of life.

Is it so bloody complicated ? a simple algorithm based on average attendance and capacity would surely be fair ?

Surely it should be a percentage of ground capacity that seems logical.

1000 ppl maximum. Face masks compulsory, no cheering, chanting, shouting or singing. Bar shut.

Sounds a hard sell.

Exactly. How can this be a safe/fair system when clubs like ours, Notts County and Halifax have 15,000+ capacity while clubs like Eastleigh, Wealdstone and Solihull can only take 3,000 fans?
