Default Question if no wins

sorry to start a new thread but haven't seen my question answered anywhere.

If the lunatic fringe somehow make it a yes of below 75% is that the deal dead in the water or is there a prospect of R&R then offering say a couple of hundred thousand for the WST on top of the £2million investment?

If this could be clarified officially in terms of a now or never or not this offer but scope to review i think it could affect the No vote.

Who came up with this 75% mularky anyway? Surely 51% in favour of the takeover should be enough.

The WST constitution says it so we are stuck with it sadly

it probably states somewhere due to the nature of the vote it requires a 75% majority to pass

I think 75% is vital here for probably the most important thing trust members can vote for. It has to have overwhelming approval or it could fracture the fan base.
Imagine if the arguments if 52% of people got it through

edit - I appreciate the irony that 74.9% will also cause a huge rift with this particular bid!

We simply do not know what R&R would do if we fail to meet the 75% criterion.

It is a big hurdle to overcome but, if achieved — and I am confident it will — we have a clear mandate to ‘move on’ from the current WST inertia.

We could find ourselves with nearly 75% of wst members voting for this and the whole wider fanbase in favour of it and the bid is rejected by 25.1% of the complete utter buffoons, who don't support the football club. It's not right.

I can't see the wider fanbase accepting it.

I simply do not believe the no vote will get close to 25%
