Default We need to Manage Team Expectations

Whereas the injection of £2m will give the team a boost it doesn’t guarantee success. In the last 2 years the league has been won by Barrow and Macclesfield, so the appointment of a decent manager is key.
The playoffs would be a reasonable target this year.

Personally I’ve written off this year. Stay up, get the new infrastructure in, maybe a manager change. Have a fresh go next season when hopefully there’s less COVID.

Still plenty of points to go for. I agree with Colonel D, with the right manager a play off spot is achievable but the managerial change must happen before too much longer.

This is a really insensitive comment, and I feel a bit of a shithouse for it... But with some clubs potentially going to the wall this season there's an opportunity by getting the sale done quickly to be really ruthless.

Where clubs are impacted too heavily by the pandemic and loss of revenue there are players to be had who we might not previously have had access to... And the opportunity to tempt them here for relative job security

There's still no salary cap in place. Have to capitalise on that assuming that investment and cash injections are incoming.

We have been too nice in the past. The attitude, particularly with Rob last night was that of a winning mindset and we have missed that. I sense the days of signing players from our past on the basis of sentimentality could be almost over and that in itself will be a huge step forward too.

I agree.

we are a terrible team, and with the takeover perhaps another 5 or 6 matches away the season will be a quarter gone.

the best we can hope for is some changes this season to boost our chances for next.

Disagree, with the right coaches in place playing to players strengths think we can do the playoffs.

We’ve played 6 games! There’s plenty of time to salvage the season yet. It does feel shit with no fans though. Imagine a Liverpool scenario where we win the league but none of us can be there, would be soul destroying in a way.
