Default Weymouth (A) - Must Win or Couldn't Care Less?

On Tuesday our football recommences on the Jurassic Coast against the mighty Weymouth. I remember going to our last game there back in 2008/09, when we won 3-1. My old man travelled down and we believed we wouldn't be going there again. How wrong we were!

Their form looks dreadful, with only one home win and 5 defeats. Alas, our away form isn't that great either, so we cannot take it for granted. Nevertheless, I think even Keates and Co should be able to squeeze a tight win out of this one. We need those 3 points in the bag before heading to Stockport.

Weymouth 0 Wxm 2

We'll also have all the prospective managers based on the south coast there to see if they could master the 'mighty reds'. Imagine the scene:

"Eddie, these Welsh barstards caused me no end of problems when I had the Irons. The buggers even played on snow. Can you bleedin' believe it?"

"Well, Harry. We played 'em back in 2004, and James Hayter scored 'is hat-trick in 140 seconds against them. When we got to 6-0 I had to tell the lads to ease off, otherwise I'd never get this job with R&R."

"R&R, Eddie? Who the bloody hell are they?"

"They're the clowns from Hollywood who want a mega-star to manage them for a Netflix documentary."

"I see, Eddie. Best they get rid of those clowns on the bench first, or they'll be stuck in Non League for ever and a day."

"I knows, Harry. That's the plot. That's why I am here. What do you think my old mucker?"

"Good luck Eddie, think you might need to make a few changes to get this lot sorted out."

"Think I will, Harry. Think I will!"

A bit silly of them, but not surprised. I'll watch the video link.

I was tempted both with this one and the Eastleigh game the week before, living down this way. But then realised I’d be an irresponsible dickhead if I went, especially as I’ve been banging on to my kids about the importance of social distancing etc.

Frustrating, but very wise.

Presumably social distancing, mask wearing etc will be in place at Weymouth and Eastleigh otherwise the authorities wouldn't allow fans in 🤔

If Keates loses, then I would think that's him finished

If we win, then wahey we've won

I can see it being 0-0
