Default Re: Ratings v Wealdstone

Dibble - 4 mistake led to the goal and looks a nervous wreck every-time the ball enters the area
Reckord - 5 slightly better than Tuesday
French - 6 decent and did his job reasonably well
Carrington - 5 calm on the ball but also played his part in Wealdstone’s opener (maybe left the cross because he heard the goalkeeper call?)
Kelleher - 6 steady but lacks pace
Vassell - 4 two obvious yellow cards that could of been avoided
Young - 7 better 2nd half performance from someone really lacking in recent weeks. Gets an extra point for his goal
Davies - 5 again shows glimpses of quality with splatters of naivety
Durrell - 6 would prefer Jarvis in his place but reasonable without really getting me off my seat
Thomas - 7 two goals but should of had a hat-trick
Dior - 7 took his goal well but made too many poor decisions in front of goal

The poor first half reflects with slightly lower scores than maybe expected with a 4-1 win.

Dibble 3 fluffed the only thing he had to do

French 6 looked out of place at wing back but provided the turning point
Carra 6 linked well with French for the first
Kelleher 7 pretty solid
Vassel 5 should have been able to stay on the pitch
Reckford 5 not great

Young 7 woeful first half, great second
Davies 6 in and out. I still can't decide whether he has star quality or is a boy in a man's game
Duzza 6 good second half, poor first

Brown 7 2 goals, great stuff
Angus 8 motm showed quality. I want to see him do that v Sutton on tuesday

Maybe we should show rating for each half!
Being positive it showed that, when given the freedom to play, these players are good enough.
The downside, as usual, was the way Keates set his team out, shackled under his obsession with restraint and negativity.

It was mix of 3 failures really. They'll go half and half. Some man to man, others zonal. Thomas lost his man,but the keeper should be collecting/punching a ball on the 6 yd line. Carra was zonal and it entered his zone but was totally flat footed (he knew it, hence his rocking back on his heel reaction) and barely got off the ground. I wouldn't have him as an attacker in there. Kelleher all day in there for me. Need your best in the air in that spot.
