2021-22 Like for Like Stats

What a night! It felt like a school reunion. Love the pitch, though I suspect it was over-watered, I like the Kop Banner, the atmosphere was awesome and that 'goal' was never offside! The floodlights need attention! I'm looking forward to a great season.

Positive analysis ...
1. We have gained more points from each and every game so far compared with same fixture last season.
2. We are 4 points better off over those same 3 games.
3. That equates to 5 times as many points over those games.
Cant beat positive thinking!

So we move up one place, but slip to 14th in PPG. Just need a home win under our belt.

Three games out of four we have come from behind and earned a point and we won the game where we scored first. Couldn't have confidently forecast that under Keates.

Yesterday was, as they say, a game of two halves - which we said many times under Keates.

Unbeaten after 4, I'd have taken that at the beginning of the season, still some tough hurdles to clear in the next few weeks.

The home win makes the PPG Table look a little healthier!
Very good first half but they succeeding in bullying us throughout the second.

You do tend to hide these deliberate errors in the most obscure places.

a) In the League Season to Date summary

20/21 Same games - Act Pos. should be 10 and PPG Pos. should be 12

I see what you did there.

b) In the Results Matrix the columns do not correspond:

Horizontally W24 - D14 - L15 but Vertically they are W15 -D14- L23.

There may be more but that's enough to be going on with.

The first one was an obvious failure to update. The second one was much deepre to correct and I had to delve through a couple of 'hidden' worksheets to find a rogue '.' that made it think Stockport had an away win without a corresponding home loss for Notts although the game has not been played. Good catch Hamilton, thank you, sloppy work from me - I've slapped myself quite hard for that lot.

And another thing...

I failed to note that D Jones was sent off in the squad stats, which has now been corrected. Sunday was obviously not a good day for me, I blame it on Long Covid's fatigue and brain fog.

In future I will make sure the brain is in gear before I start the stats update
