Default DORKING WANDERERS (H) - T’s & P’s

The relentless treadmill brings DW to the Racecourse for the first time. A month ago, I would have predicted this would be the goal-fest we’ve all been waiting for, especially as we beat them 5-0 at their place. However, now it’s a case of just wanting a clean-sheet, a stress less win and, most importantly, no more injuries.

Hopefully Forde will be back and the others will pick themselves. Up front, surely Dalby must start. But the big question-mark is over the midfield. It was very poor against Scunny, with the return of JD being the one positive. Again, surely Cannon starts, but who will be the other two? We all have different opinions, but PP will have to decide which is best, and who is fit enough to start.

I think we’ll win but don’t expect a transformational performance: it will have to be a ‘roll your sleeves up’ job! Their away form is poor, as you would expect for a team which is slowly being sucked into the relegation zone. But they’ll probably play out of their skins until they eventually run out of steam.

Remember, points are more important than flowing football.

WXM 3 DW 0

County 3 D&R 0

Working on the assumption that Forde won't play....

------------------Lainton-----------------------

-----O'Connell----Tozer----Tunnicliffe---------

Jones------------------------------------Mendy-

-------------------Cannon----------------------

----------Young--------------Lee---------------

---------------Dalby------Mullin----------------

Howard, Cleworth, Davies, Palmer, McAlinden

Palmer needs a rest, I would like to rest Young but unfortunately we don't have the bodies to allow.

2-0 - Dalby,Mullin

I hope Forde is back. We have the players to cover the other positions inc Mcalinden at LWB, but that is our big weakness.

Think this'll be a drubbing and Notts will run out of luck at last

Please excuse the intrusion, Dorking fan in peace (even if taking it a little off topic - apologies)

Am travelling up with the whole family for the game on Saturday and staying over before going home the next day.

Please any recommendations or suggestions for a family friendly pub/bar please where we could watch the Palace v Liverpool game at 7.45 on the Saturday night (its on Sky) as the wife and son are Palace fans (I know).

We'll have a car if it's not somewhere absolutely central.

Seen there is a Greene King place called the Squire Yorke which looks like a carvery type place which might be okay? Just don't want to be turned away from places because they turn into young adults loud night spots on a Saturday night!

Any suggestions appreciated.

(and in terms of the game, I think Wrexham will win 5-0 or maybe 5-1 - we cannot defend to save our lives and have had only 2 clean sheets in the league all season, but I guess it's a free hit for us)

Thank you / Diolch !

Squire Yorke is a bit of a trip from the ground mate. Plenty of places around the town where you could watch the game, hill street is a good sports bar where you can book a table, I'd imagine you'd be fine at any pub in the town centre.
