Thoughts are already heading north to Blackburn but, first, we must head south -- compass-wise, not form-wise -- to face our fraternal 'brothers-in-arms' at Rodney Parade for the infamous 'Welsh Derby'.

They haven't lost in their last 4 EFL games and face Man Utd next weekend. But they first have to face the game of their lives as the Red Army follows the Welsh Motorway south through several English counties.

Their home form is not too bad ( W5 D5 L2 +24 -18 GD 6). They have only kept 2 clean-sheets but they do usually score goals. Whilst we should be too good for them, this will be another battle in front of a hostile crowd. Will they be saving a bit for the Utd encounter? Or will they go all out trying to secure a starting slot against the Red Devils? I suspect they'll give it their all, so another physical tussle is on the cards.

We have players returning from injury, so will PP shuffle the pack? These returnees certainly need game-time, but probably off the bench.

I think it will be a high scoring game, with plenty of mistakes from both sides. Hopefully, Okonkwo will mop up most of our defensive blunders. But can Mullin and Fletcher hit the net at the other end? Or will the midfield need to up their game?

Tough game.

They nullified us at home with us only scoring from set pieces. They’ll be on a high with their FA Cup run. We’re not the best away from home. Not looking forward to it…

Not sure the home game just before Xmas was much of a marker given that horrendous cross-wind.

Having Man Utd next up could go either way - players take it easy not wanting to get injured for the big one, whilst others raise their game to stake their place for a starting berth.
