why would we be signing sinclair?

where is he at the moment, doing pre season with FGR?

Don't think Sinclair reported back with the others at FGR new training ground yesterday. I can't see him on these pictures...

Forest Green Rovers sign contract to train at Stanley Park (From Swindon Advertiser)

Maybe he is the loan signing on the way...

Have to say that for me, the best performers last night were Kelly and Rutherford, both lively and both offered an outlet on the wing (albeit playing against a very narrow Lex side). Don't think that Hurst is technically gifted enough to be able to hold a role in midfield with the quality of competition Dean has brought in, especially if there is any substance in the Sinclair rumour too...

His first touch is fantastic and he is able to bring the ball down. But his decision making after that isn't great. If Keates, Davies and Darlington can coach the lad he could be a very good player. Leo Smith has a good game and looked very sharp. Pearson and Manny Smith looked solid as would be expected. Rutherford ran his socks off and was a constant threat down the right. Holroyd was also very energetic. I'm really looking forward to this season. On a better pitch those lads will boss it. The pitch slowed it down. It was long.
I can agree with most of that.
Holroyd looks to be another Omerod clever and skillfull but not a natural finisher.

Think he hit around 13 last season. If he can get 15 this season that would be a good effort from him and a big boost towards promotion for us-provided other players score plenty too

Last season was his first in a few playing as a striker after being played out wide for a while and scored 13. Should be able to get us around the 15 mark, although he missed 2 easy chances in the Lex game ill put that down to him not having any minutes under his belt for a while.

Fully agree about Kelly and Rutherford who played like old fashioned wingers and tore Lex apart on times.
