With three away Pre Season wins and now getting closer to the real thing how many are going to Stafford on Saturday, what will be the score and where is everyone drinking prior to the match?

Some basic information from the Stafford Rangers official club site relating to directions - it's about an hour and 15 minutes away (from Wrexham) - once again it's unfortunate that the clubs are not putting out a basic 'feed' to the fanbase including stadium admission, allocated stand / terraced area ?, parking / food / drink facilities. Seems to becoming a common theme, we are in the entertainment business and rely on supporters through the turnstiles - some basic information for each and every fixture would be a massive help to those considering going - it might also prevent numerous individuals making contact with either club seeking out the same 'repeat' information. Hopefully something will 'come out' over the next day or two.

The Stafford rangers Marston Road ground is one of the few non-league venues to offer substantial covered spectator areas on two sides of the pitch.

DIRECTIONS:
From M6 Junction 14: Follow A34 (Stone) on dual carrigeway to the second roundabout. Go straight over into Beaconside then third right into Common Road. Ground one mile ahead. Brown tourist signs mark the route from the motorway to the ground.

From A34 North: On the outskirts of the town at first roundabout (with new business delevopments on the right), turn left into Beaconside then third right into Common Road. Ground one mile ahead.
From Town Centre: From large roundabout at the north end of the shopping area, follow signs for B5066 (Sandon), past the Prison, turning right at mini roundabout by Coral bookmakers, go past the Shell petrol station, turn left at traffic lights by new housing estate into Astonfields. Ground on the left.

From A518 (Uttoxeter): After passing the County Showground, turn right at the next roundabout (by the University and Fire Station) into Beaconside. Follow this road for 1 1/2 miles past MOD (ex-RAF) Stafford and turn left at second set of traffic lights into Sandon Road (heading towards town centre). After a mile turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Astonfields and the ground is 1/4 ahead on the left.

From A34/A513 South: After going over the railway bridge with the retail park on the left, bear left just after the next set of lights (following signs for Uttoxeter). Turn right at the roundabout and straight over the lights just after passing Lloyds TSB on the right into Riverway. Follow this road as it bends to the left then straight over at next lights by the tower block. Continue for 1 1/2 miles until 'T' junction. Turn right into Sandon Road and then left at traffic lights just past Shell garage into Astonfields. Ground on the left.

There is limited official club parking in front of the ground though plenty of adjoining street particularly in the industrial estate opposite

With or without my can of Wrexham lager I'll be there - think we will take a good following too.

Popping over from Derby for a very rare journey to a pre-season game - that's how excited I am for the new season - I've been looking forward to seeing this team
