Couldn't say it better. He needs to sharpen up tactically at times but he has certainly improved us.

I suppose the comparison is between the two sides who played against Tranny last season and today's team. Today's team is way stronger in defence and forwards a job in progress.

Not convinced. Great win no doubt albeit against one of the few teams even less effective than us up front. If great defense (credit to keates where it's due) and team spirit can win championships then we are right in there, but that's rarely the case. Keates needs to sort our lack of creativity and scoring record, until he shows he has the ability to deal with these issues then its a mmmm from me.
Agreat win, but lets not forget Torquay and Guiseley. Hopefully Holroyd will start to add some bite but we'll have to wait and see.

Keates has given me no confidence when interviewed. He really doesn't come accross well.
Don't know about Andy Davies either but I was very impressed with what Carl Darlington had to say in his interview with the WST. That gave me immense confidence that the management team are extremely professional and hard working. Perhaps Carl should do more interviews. Hope he talks to potential signings as well. To get a result wth 10 men shows that the focus on defence has reaped its rewards. I would never have imagined a Wrexham team in recent history pulling off that result. Fantastic. But we did need those points today to make up for the ones lost vs Guiseley.

Interesting that Sutton are top with a goal difference of +1 whilst we are +4. I would argue that Tranmere have on paper one heck of a decent attack but hasn't made an impact so far. Long may the boring football continue. If we make the playoffs, a one nil win will do very nicely in each game.
