Default Eastleigh Post-Match Thoughts

Thought we were awful first-half, but improved significantly once DK finally picked an effective team by bringing Kelly into midfield.

Sound defences are needed, but it’s goals that win games.

DK needs to have a long, Hard think about how best to get us out of this league.

PS Jacko would have been proud of his send off. RIP!

I agree. After that first half, it was good to get the result though.

Desperately need a striker who can hold the ball up and battle against centre backs.

Kelly in the middle and finally we have someone getting his head up and picking out the passes, who knew? The subs changed the game but why not start the match that way? If Mackreth wasn't made of glass he'd be first on the team sheet.

I wonder if the plan is to limp to January as we are and then see where we are before speculating to accumulate.

The 2nd half team with a new striker is our key to promotion this season. I would like a new left winger too if I'm being greedy but Rutherford is doing ok.

Kelly in the middle and mackreth changed the game. Best I have seen of mackreth, good crosses but it was his positioning and runs that made the difference.

Need that target man still though!

Rutherford was ace. Loved his run to the right wing to keep the ball in play second half
