Yes we have regained our footballing dignity since Keates took over, but we have hit a wall. Keates needs to unlock the Trusts safe and get out and sign forwards.
I have followed this club since 1967 and I always used to get excited at the prospect of seeing our team take the game to our opponents. This involved exciting attacking play - this is what makes football the spectator sport it is. This season, we have rarely done this. Yes, we are near the top of our league, but I am not seeing fans return in droves to the footy feast, despite the league position. Rather than a feast, it’s more like Oliver asking for gruel!
Yes , very good , but who's Fagin ???

How many goals have we scored away from home all season? 8 isn't it?!

Keates has done a reasonable job, nothing more and nothing less so far. Defensively has got us solid (no doubting that) but with our lack of goals, threat or general attacking idea I would be mortified if we were shipping goals. Said it before, to start the season with 3 or 4 strikers and not one of them having significant pace or imposing physical threat was nothing short of scandalous.

On reflection about yesterday....wzs a decent day out on a well organised and well behaved bus of slighty older than the norm Wrexham fans... stopped in Ulswater at about 12 .15.... nice place with proper watering holes... feared the worse after 2 mins but Captain Fantastic rescued a point with a bullet header from a corner....didnt thing Barrow would concede like that to be fair.......... rest of the game was largely a non event with not much in the way of quality ....particularly the last 10 mins which was farcical with both teams happy to run the clock down.... with the ref continually having to hold up most set pieces I wonder how long the ball was actually in play yesterday...
Regading the Pearson injury we were sat in stand and it looked as if the physio team suspected he had double vision..... all in all a point gained methinks from a game that will not live long in my memory....

I don't suppose Barrow F.C. have the slightest interest in providing an enjoyable match day experience for visiting fans - by and large they probably don't have any, certainly from southern clubs.

Even 50 years ago this was a dump of a place to go - the two numpties playing duelling banjos on the entrance to the town should be a clue to the population. The Club, and it appears, the local police, seem to ignore the rule of law by ignoring loutish behaviour.

I always feel a real anomaly with the journey - it seems to take forever when it is possible to see Barrow from where I was born on the slopes of the Clwydian Range.

I doubt very much if I will make the trip again.

I’ve always enjoyed visits to the Lake District area of the country friendly people and nice pubs.......but I’ve always regarded barrow as the real Royston Vasey for local people and don’t accept strangers, I’m 99% sure I saw Tubbs there once and there was a strange circus as well, best to stay clear me thinks.

It's a local Club for local people - 'we don't want strangers here'.

(The person you thought was Tubbs was the Barrow Carnival Queen of a couple of years ago - you really don't want to see her less attractive sister)

Babs was very accommodating in the taxi though and the meat pies were very unique.
