totally agree, think it will be the same for all teams as no one is running away with it, consistency will be the key this season if we are to finish anywhere near the top. new faces will be the key, as despite being near the top we are consistently average.

A routine victory against a doomed team. I love us going through the motions second half because we are 3-0 up.

Dunn 8 excellent. Made several good stops first half including one down to his left which was amazing.
Roberts 7 sound. Hope he's not injured too badly.
Smtih 7 fine
Pearson 7 relatively easy day.
Jennings 7 love his attacking
Rutherford 7 fine
Wedge 7 fine
Kelly 8 thought he played really well.
Holroyd 10 MOTM great show today. Becoming a threat from set pieces like Morrell in '03.

Boden 7 fine. Enjoyed the space afforded him.
Miller 7 good direct style. Surprised he stayed on though as mackreth could have had 45 mins.

A game we had to win, and also win well. Bingo! 4-0.

We now have 2 weeks to get the lurgie out of the players’ systems, bring in some better players, and push on.

The Board has seemingly promised lots of transfer activity, which suggests DK is also not fully satisfied with what we have in the locker, otherwise why waste valuable time, money and effort?

Sad that Miller never got his name on the scoresheet, for he has made a massive difference to the team. His pace, movement and enthusiasm has made so much time and space, hence why Boden and Holroyd have been able to improve significantly. As some have said - and I think the criticism is valid, if a little too critical - his lack of goals is a worry. But, to be fair to the lad, he mostly made those chances, and none were particularly easy ones. DK did well to bring him in; we will need someone as good or better if we are to remain valid promotion candidates.

Finally, a word of praise for Dunn. Many wanted him hung, drawn and quartered after the Barrow game on New Year’s Day. Thought he did very well today. However, I still think Coddington would be a better option.

Really enjoyed the match.Thought torquay came to play football but we just had better players.All departments were comfortable all day.And what a feeling scoring so many goals.Now we just need some players brought in through January 3 or 4 i guess and we can really push on

Spot on. Credit to Torquay for coming to play football. At times they passed the ball far better and quicker than we did, but Lady Luck wasn’t with them on the day.

Football should be all about goals, being entertained and winning. Tick VG on all counts, yesterday.
