And remember when we moaned about the lack of two year contracts - Macreth
Can’t see him being here next year

That was a close call - in my opinion

He needs games to get his confidence back because at the moment he seems like he is struggling.
Have to disagree.

A good player would still show good touches and make good decisions even if carrying an injury. Mackreth has been a total disappointment despite making 1 or possibly 2 runs down the wing against Eastleigh - to say he changed the game is somewhat of a 'putting lipstick on a pig' opinion.

Hopefully with 2 more players in this week he wont even be on the bench after that.

I think Macreth did have a massive impact and was very influential when he came on against Eastleigh - but that was less than half a match in the season so far - other than that short period he has been largely anonymous.

What supporters wont accept is a perceived lack of effort and desire to help out his team mates when he or the team lose possession - whilst others are running their socks off from lesser positions than him, he seems to amble back and looks like he's not even going to bother - something amiss there unless he's specifically told to leave the defending to others and conserve his energy for attack - but it doesn't work because he just can't beat his man no matter who the opposition is.

Another player who looks certain to depart in the near future is Nicky Deverdics. The former Dover Athletic man has cut a frustrated figure at Victoria Park this season having played much of his football at left-back earlier on in the campaign. And despite getting a chance to influence further up the field in recent weeks, he has done little to get the pulses racing. But his inconsistency does not appear to have put off potential takers interest growing in the Newcastle-born 30-year-old.

Miller defo leaving P’boro but looks like he’s holding out for a move down south

Peterborough United owner Darragh MacAnthony says striker Ricky Miller is "driving me mad" by turning down chances to leave the League One club.

Miller, 28, joined from Dover last summer but has not scored in 13 games.

"It hasn't worked out, we see value in him, all these clubs see value in him," MacAnthony told BBC Cambridgeshire.

"He'd prefer a move closer to home - typical footballers - but I'm not willing to do that, the club closer to home isn't even competing financially."

Miller scored 42 goals in 43 games in the National League last season, with MacAnthony claiming Posh turned down a £250,000 bid for the forward before he had officially joined.

He has two and a half years remaining on his three-year contract.

"Ricky's turned down about five different clubs," added MacAnthony. "He's turning loads of them down and it's driving me mad because he's not going to get game time here.

"If he's going to base it on geography and whatever else he's in the wrong industry - if you're going to base moves on geography being a football player, don't play football.

"I've sat people in the stands before when they've played that game with me - I've been there and they think I'm bluffing, I'm not

I think theres more chance of Ricky Gervais signing for us than Ricky Miller.
